Invasives are species or pathogens that have migrated or been transferred to places where they are not naturally part of the eco system. They can cause serious harm including threatening our food security, spreading disease, stinging or poisoning us/our pets/wildlife, and so on.
As our other Invasive-focused pages expanded, and began to repeat some information. It was decided to put any lists, brochures, directories, or databases listing the invasives to certain locations on a single page to be used for reference with the other pages. Hopefully this will help keep the information more concise, and from bloating the other, related pages.
Scroll down and search alphabetically by continent, then country, then by state/region/province.

Friends of Haenertsburg Grasslands "Several invasive alien plants occur within the WGG. Invasive alien plants are problematic as they affect water supply, encroach on indigenous vegetation and crops, cause very hot fires and increase the risk of soil erosion. Reports also show that, in areas where eucalyptus, wattle and pine are grown, there is an increase in the hydrophobicity of the soil, a state that is difficult to reverse. In other words, these plants lead to water being repelled from the soil.
To download our brochure, Invasive Alien Plants; A guide to some of the most common alien invasive plants of the Woodbush Granite Grasslands and surrounding areas, go to our Resources tab."
Invasive Species ID Guide "This app is a companion to the printed Guide to the Naturalized and Invasive Plants of Southeast Asia." "The plants described in this Guide are all naturalized and/or invasive in one or more of the countries in the region such as Brunei, Cambodia, East Timor, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. It is by no means a complete Field Guide, only covering 55 introduced and problematic plant species. These species are also not necessarily all of the worst ‘offenders’ but have been included based on some literature reviews and feedback from project partners and others."

Flatworms "The Obama Flatworm (Obama nungara) is a relatively recent introduction to the UK, originating from Brazil. This non-native flatworm is already a threat to agriculture across France, and was found in a pot plant at a garden centre in Oxfordshire in November 2016. It was first found in Europe on Guernsey in 2008, but has spread through France and into Spain and has now been discovered at a handful of locations in the UK."

iNaturalist Citizen Science Project “Dubois Invasive Species Watch” "Using the fun and user-friend app called “iNaturalist” we developed the Dubois Invasive Species Watch is a Citizen Science Project to help land managers identify the extent of invasive species in the area surrounding Whiskey Basin Wildlife Habitat Management Area and the larger Dubois area. Bighorn sheep are a community-wide iconic wildlife species that depends heavily on intact winter range and migration corridors. Rapidly responding to invasive species infestations will help maintain habitat for this and other wildlife species in the area.
Everyone can help! All you have to do is upload the iNaturalist app onto your devise, join the project (Dubois Invasive Species Watch), and while you’re out and about hiking, riding or exploring the beautiful landscapes around Dubois within the project area, keep your eyes out for some of the more common (and wildlife-challenging!) invasive species and make observations with your phone. The specific locations, photos and descriptions of the plants you see will be uploaded to the project site and used in real-time by habitat biologists.
We hosted a free zoom training for volunteers on May 28, 2020, and a link to this recorded video session can be viewed by clicking this link. You can also see the powerpoint itself (without video) by clicking this link: DuboisInvasiveSpeciesWatchTraining."
