Cover Cropping

This practice uses multiple crop species between standard crop dows or between seasonal crops to protect soil, or even rebuild lost soil. Cover crops can provide food and shelter for many beneficial species including ladybirds, and pollinators.

Paludiculture

Bogs and peatland around the world are under great threat from burning, harvesting, livestock grazing and being transformed into commercial agriculture. In an atempt to reverse the massive loss of these vital carbon sinks and diverse ecosystems, paludiculture seeks to combine peatland with native or at least non-invasive species.

Seaweed Farming

Seaweed farming has a long history around the world, but recently scientists have noted the industry's potential to help combat critical problems including water pollution, nitrogen run off, ocean acidification, and habitat loss. Seaweed can even produce oxygen, helping to restore balance to the many places around the world suffering from deoxygenated waters.
