One of the supposed hurdles to getting action done on climate change and it's related topics, is that "politicians don't want to upset their constituents or voters" and that "most people don't know/care about climate change!"
There's still a belief that we need to keep proving these problems are real, rather than acknowledging that many communities around the world are painfully aware of the effects climate change has already had on our families, homes, businesses, health, economies, and even our daily lives.
Some of us have seen so many 1 in a 100+ years events, sometimes together in a single year, that the inaction of governments and industries is nothing more than enraging.
This page exists to help dispel these myths, so that we can get on and start implementing that solutions that scientists and communities around the world already agree on!
Some of the data listed on this page indicates the problems that people in different countries consider most pressing, and/or the solutions that people are willing to support (even if expensive or even if those solutions meant less jobs). Activists, scientists, and politicians may find this information useful for forming strategies that will be publicly supported, helping to build public trust and engagement before working towards solutions or issues that might be considered of lower importance to the general population.
This section offers various types of charts including maps, in addition to the Map section near the bottom of the page.

1:10 minute video "The largest-ever survey of Africans’ perceptions of climate change has found widespread reports of worsening quality of life and deteriorating conditions for agricultural production, as well as limited “climate change literacy” among average citizens.
In the ninth of its Pan-Africa Profiles series based on recent public-opinion surveys in 34 African countries, Afrobarometer reports that in all but four countries, pluralities say climate conditions for agricultural production have worsened over the past decade, most often due to drought.
And among Africans who have heard of climate change, a large majority – including about nine out of 10 East Africans – say it is making life in their country worse.
But fewer than three in 10 Africans are “climate change literate” in the sense that they have heard of climate change, associate it with negative changes in weather patterns, and know that human activity is a major cause.
