One of the supposed hurdles to getting action done on climate change and it's related topics, is that "politicians don't want to upset their constituents or voters" and that "most people don't know/care about climate change!"
There's still a belief that we need to keep proving these problems are real, rather than acknowledging that many communities around the world are painfully aware of the effects climate change has already had on our families, homes, businesses, health, economies, and even our daily lives.
Some of us have seen so many 1 in a 100+ years events, sometimes together in a single year, that the inaction of governments and industries is nothing more than enraging.

But fewer than three in 10 Africans are “climate change literate” in the sense that they have heard of climate change, associate it with negative changes in weather patterns, and know that human activity is a major cause.
