Technology production and use comes with a variety of downsides including the pollution created to mine and produce the parts, as well as the pollution associated with using technology, and again at the end-of-life stage. One practical way to reduce all this waste and pollution, is to reuse, repair, and recycle technology as much as possible.
Currently technology is one of the fastest-growing types of waste, and it often comes at a much higher cost than other types of waste - for example, heavy metals such as mercury can contaminate our water and soil when technology isn't properly disposed of.

Instead of disposing of used rechargeable batteries, we began a business of recycling them as valuable metal resources.
Since then, in tandem with the technological advancements in rechargeable batteries, exemplified by the emergence of "Nickel-Metal Hydride batteries" and "Lithium-Ion batteries," we have continued to develop our metal recycling technology. As a result, we are now able to recycle nearly all major types of rechargeable batteries available today.
In the future, with the growing prevalence of mobile devices and electric vehicles, rechargeable batteries will play an increasingly pivotal role in society.
