Many electric power companies are concerned about the decline in pollinators and would like to understand more about pollinator science, conservation opportunities, and associated costs and risks. Through management of large real estate assets, there is ecological potential to enhance pollinator habitat through well-designed, ecologically meaningful, and cost-effective actions on property that power companies manage. This technical brief provides an overview of pollinators, considerations for power companies, and an introduction to conservation strategies."

The Portal synthesizes GEM’s research on nearly 5,000 projects throughout the region, including coal- and gas-fired power plants, oil and gas pipelines, oil and gas extraction sites, LNG terminals, solar farms, wind farms, coal terminals, coal mines and steel plants that meet a predetermined size threshold.
