The Free Bikes and Trikes for Students page lists programs dedicated to getting students and other members of the community onto their own bikes. Some of the organizations specifically help medical workers, people with disabilities or certain diseases. Check the requirements of organizations listed for your area (or internationally) as they may require teachers or schools make requests for large shipments of bikes, or make requests for specific students in need.
The Trees page is focused on helping people, organizations, or communities get access to cheap or free trees. There are some grants that may pay only for trees, or also include equipment costs such as tree protectors, drip systems, etc.
The Seeds page lists seed libraries, seed swaps, organic seed providers, and similar resources to help you start growing your own wildflowers, fruits, vegetables, grasses, and even trees.
EA Animal Welfare Fund "The Animal Welfare Fund supports advocacy, research, and movement-building work aimed at improving the wellbeing of nonhuman animals, primarily farmed and wild animals. This includes corporate and policy advocacy, research, and the promotion of alternative products."
Reef Check Scholarship Fund "Reef Check is offering scholarships to qualified applicants from diverse backgrounds. The goal of our Scholarship Fund is to increase diversity in science and provide opportunities for participation in Reef Check programs without financial barriers. It aligns with our pursuit of Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (JEDI) in all that we do. Scholarships will cover the cost of a Reef Check Training or participation in Reef Check’s Dive into Science program. We also offer volunteers opportunities to utilize the skills acquired from these courses and put them into action to contribute to Reef Check’s mission to save our reefs.
Reef Check Training Scholarships are for certified SCUBA divers to participate in a Reef Check training to become a certified Reef Check Citizen Scientist.
Reef Check’s Dive into Science Scholarships are for individuals who are not yet SCUBA certified and will provide SCUBA training and subsequent diving experience, culminating in a Reef Check Citizen Scientist certification."
National award schemes There are a number of key organisations offering grants and advice to community based projects e.g.
Big Lottery Fund "Groups can apply to us for funding under £20,000, or over £20,001, depending on what they want to do."
Heritage Fund "We fund projects of all sizes that connect people and communities to the UK’s heritage."
Grow Wild UK "Bringing people together to value and enjoy wildflowers and fungi"
Neotropical Grassland Conservancy "helps launch careers in conservation by providing grants and equipment to students and scientists working in grassland habitats in Central and South America." Their services include student grants.
Bullfrog Energy "Activists and organizers across the country are working to transition their communities away from fossil fuels. We created our community-based green energy projects grant to provide critical funding for these local efforts.
All bullfrogpowered customers help fund these small-scale, community-led projects, including solar panels on schools and in Indigenous communities, education and training programs, and a cleantech accelerator."
Clean Energy for Rural and Remote Communities Program "An additional $300 million is available until 2027 for your clean energy projects in Indigenous, rural and remote communities across Canada." - Government of Canada

Community Seed Grants (CSG) "are available once every year for school gardens and community organizations with regional and cultural connection to the NS/S seed collection. They are offered to garden projects working toward collective food security, seed sovereignty, traditional knowledge, education, and other efforts of community wellness. We do not require CSG recipients to save and return seeds, but encourage those who are able to do so, to provide seeds for their community.

Action for Healthy Kids: Grants & Support "Providing schools and districts the resources for students to be healthy in body and mind, and be better prepared to learn." Applicable projects include nutrition programs, upgrading boring roofs into useable play spaces, etc.

Dream.Org seeks to elevate people from diverse communities to position them for employment, shaping a more inclusive future while reducing negative environmental impacts that have disproportionate effects on communities of color."
Eat The Change "ETC Impact™ is a grant program working to promote and expand access to climate-friendly foods. We're donating more than $1.25 million over three years to support a diverse group of changemaking nonprofit organizations."
Grants for Programs & Field Trips "Funds for field trips are limited for school, scout homeschool and camp groups. This section includes grants for field trips that cover admission, transportation, and more. We hope this helps you in planning and implementing educational, enriching and fun day and overnight trips for your youth groups."

Caring for our Coast Gulf Region Grant Program "Restore America’s Estuaries is excited to partner with CITGO to facilitate the Caring for our Coast grants to organizations and groups hosting locally-based volunteer events in the Gulf of Mexico region. Outdoor Classroom Grants "The Alabama Wildlife Federation and a variety of other organizations, agencies, and companies provide financial and volunteer assistance for conservation education projects like outdoor classrooms that provide hands-on, outdoor learning opportunities."
Students to Stewards "provides dynamic stewardship initiatives to schools through conservation education and outdoor classrooms to teach students the importance of preserving Alabama’s natural resources. This grant may also be used to offer alternative learning locations for students during COVID-19 to keep students safe by social distancing." (This organization also offers other grants.)

Let’s Go Field Trip Fund "The Let’s Go Field Fund formally known as the Transportation Fund (TF) launched in 2011 through a generous grant from the Environmental Education Funders Consortium. Through the Let’s Go Field Trip Fund, the Environmental Volunteers provides affordable, easy-to-schedule, efficient and safe transportation for low-income youth (K-12) in the San Francisco Bay Area that facilitates access to science and environmental education field trips." - Environmental Volunteers

Grants and Equipment Loans "Schools with teachers who have been trained in Discover Nature Schools, MoNASP, or Discover Nature — Fishing are eligible for grants and equipment. To receive training in any of these programs, please contact your local MDC conservation educator."
Missouri State Parks: Grant Opportunities this page includes a few grant opportunities, including buses for school field trips.
Prairie Garden Grants Program "Gardening and other conservation groups, parks, schools, and other entities in Missouri and immediately surrounding states are invited to submit proposals to MPF’s Prairie Garden Grants Program. In 2024, MPF would like to award several grants to help fund the establishment or improvement of prairie gardens or plantings. Grants will not exceed $800 each. Those with smaller projects are encouraged to apply as well. Matching funds are not required, but proposals with secured matching funds may be evaluated higher than others."
New York
Clean Green Campuses "Connecting New York State’s higher education institutions to resources and financial support to advance clean energy and low-carbon solutions at the campus and community level."
North Carolina
Go Outside ‘GO’ Grants "provide North Carolina’s students opportunities for outdoor experiences and to learn by doing. North Carolina educators are encourage to apply for grant funding for outdoor field trips, visiting programs, and educational structures."

Monarch Garden Grants 🦋 🌺 "The Native Plant Society of Texas awards small grants to nature centers, schools, educational groups and others to help fund development of Monarch demonstration gardens or Monarch Waystations using native plants on public sites in Texas. The purpose of this program is to educate members, applicants, and the public about Monarch conservation and native plants, and to encourage restoration of Monarch habitats throughout the Texas migration flyway."
Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) "is a financing method available to businesses that allows them to finance 100% of a solar energy system. The PACE mechanism allows for a solar energy system to be cash flow positive from day one."
Texas Education Agency: Finance & Grants "The Texas Education Agency administers billions of dollars in both state and federal funds that support a variety of programs to benefit public education. Funds come from multiple sources, including state and federal coffers, federal grants, the Permanent School Fund endowment, and others."
For University Students
Native Plant Society of Texas: Research Grants "The Native Plant Society of Texas offers grants to Texas university graduate students to support research projects related to Texas native plants or the conservation and restoration of Texas native plant habitats. ... The award amount is up to $2500 for the duration of the grantee’s research project."
Washington

Wisconsin
Go Outside Fund "provides funding that helps connect youth to outdoor, nature-based learning experiences. Teachers or partner organizations may apply for funding to cover costs that facilitate getting kids outside and hands-on with nature, such as purchasing field supplies, or paying for transportation, substitute teachers, or educator costs. Grants between $100 and $500 are available."
Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources: Friends Groups includes grants for teachers including the Teachers' Outdoor Environmental Education Fund.
Western Australia
The Environmental Education for Schools Grant "provides schools financial support to engage environmental education for sustainability educators to deliver programs either as incursions or excursions." For schools in the City of Cockburn.
Native Plant Subsidy "Native plants provide natural food sources and shelter for native animals, are water wise and can help cool your home naturally. To help you create a waterwise garden, the City of Cockburn offers native plant subsidies to both residents and schools."
The Sustainability Grants Program (in the City of Cockburn) "offers funding for projects related to six sustainability themes. Open to small businesses, schools, not-for-profits, and collective households, successful applicants can receive up to $4,000 for their project."

Some donors also offer assistance, tools, and other supplies to ensure your tree planting project is a success.

The Seeds page includes seed libraries, which can provide you with free seeds. This page offers wild/local plants as well as edible options including heirloom vegetables and fruits.
Students with mobility issues or other disabilities may benefit from the freedom and stability provided by a trike.
Grants for Trikes and Bikes can help students who struggle with mobility to more easily explore the world with their peers.
